MG Baltic UAB directly or indirectly controls a group of companies engaged in retail and wholesale, logistics, manufacturing, media, real estate development and management, and construction industries. 

 

In 2007 the Group significantly strengthened the UAB MG Baltic Media holding company that controls its media companies.  In addition to the companies it already controls (television channels Laisvas ir nepriklausomas kanalas and TV1, and the news portal Alfa.lt), 2007 year MG Baltic Media acquired a controlling portfolios of shares in the telecommunications firm Mediafon and newspaper publishing company UPG Baltic.

 

At the end of 2009, the Koncernas MG Baltic UAB group employed 2,896 people.
